Show runs September 20th - 29th, 2018

Sulfur Studios invites all artists to submit artwork on the theme of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 landmark Supreme Court decision that outlawed restrictions on abortions. Why is Roe v. Wade important to you? And does it’s relevance change with the very real threat of its repeal? 

This exhibition is presented in conjunction with guest curators Heather MacRae, Chela Gutierrez, and Jeremiah Jossim.

2-d, 3-d, and time based media are all eligible for this call.  

Work must be under 7ft tall, weigh less than 75lbs and fit through a standard size door.  Artists are responsible for delivery to and from the gallery and insuring their work. 

To enter:

1.       Click here to pay the $15 entry fee ($10 for Sulfur Studios Members). Entry fee is for up to 3 individual works.  If you’d like to submit more than 3 works you must pay an additional entry fee.

2.       Send an email to with your entry images as attachments.  Images should be web quality at 72 dpi and around 1000 pixels on the longest side.  You may send one full and one detail image for each entry, for a maximum of 6 images.  For time based work please send a still and a link to where the video or an excerpt may be viewed online.

3.       Also attach an image list which gives title, medium, size (framed or unframed), year and price or NFS.  If you would like to send an artist statement to give the jury a better insight to your working process and place it in the context of the call you may.  Please do not send CVs or bios as the work will be juried blind.

Entries Due by: August 31st, 2018 by 11:59pm

Artists Notified by: September 4th

Work delivered to Gallery by September 18th

Exhibition runs: September 20th - 29th

Works returned: Week of October 1st.
