Sulfur Art Services provides consultation and professional art installation for restaurants, offices and vacation rentals.  We represent a wide range of Artist working in the greater Savannah area.  Sulfur Art Services is a sister company to Sulfur Studios, a community art space located in Savannah's Starland District.

Textile Landscapes: Call for Entires

The organic, flowing nature of fiber materials, contrasted with highly structured techniques makes it an especially appropriate media in which to express natural forms of all scales.  For this exhibitions artists are invited to submit work created with textile materials or techniques that references the natural world in any form, from the atomic and cellular level, through geographic and cosmological scales.  Both traditional and experiment techniques and materials are welcome.  Sculpture, installation and video based works will be considered in addition to 2-dimensional work and functional items.

All work must be shipped or hand delivered to the gallery by January 16th, 2017.  Delivery to and from Sulfur Studios is the responsibility of the Artist. Work must arrive ready to display, and cannot be larger than 7 feet in height, 75 pounds in weight, and must fit through a standard doorway.

Work does not have to be for sale, however all sales will be handled by Sulfur Studios and a 30% commission will be retained by the gallery.  Work will be handle with care, but all art is exhibited at the artist’s risk. 

There is a $15.00 submission fee to enter up to 3 pieces. Additional work can be submitted if an additional entry fee is paid.

Entries will be juried by a committee of Sulfur Studios members led by Fiber Artist Jennifer Moss.

Important Dates:

Entries Due: December 15th, 2017 at 11:59pm

Artist Notification: December 19th, 2017

Work Delivered at the Gallery: January 4th - 15th, 2018

Exhibition Runs: January 17th - February 3rd, 2018

Closing Reception: February 2nd, 2018

Unsold work returned: Week of February 5th, 2018

To Apply:

1. Use the link to below to pay your entry fee.  The $15.00 fee is for up to 3 entries.  Do not change the quantity unless you are submitting more than 3 works.

2. Send an email to with you images as attachments.  You may submit one full and one detail shot for each entry, for a total of 6 images per entry fee.  In the body of the email, or as a separate attachment, please supply an image list with title, media, year, size and price or NFS. Please also note any special installation requirements.

You will receive a confirmation email within 48 hours.  If you do not hear from us please email to check the status of your entries.
