LowCountry Oscillations Live presents: O Paradiso/The Two Youths/Obamabo/Noble Jonez/Vinay Arora

LowCountry Oscillations Live Series kicks off with O Paradiso and The Two Youths with support from local electronica wizards Obamabo with Noble Jonez (Max Christman) and Atlanta based producer Vinay Arora

Our aim and the idea in the beginning of LCO is to showcase the more live and creative aspects of electronic music and not purely DJ culture.

O Paradiso

O Paradiso was formed in 2013 by Jacob Bills and Darryl Specht (Former members of Asa Ransom, Death of Fashion).

At times lean and bristling, at others transcendent and rapturous, O Paradiso's songs are bred from lush, distressed harmonic structures and sharp rhythms interwoven with both colorful and commanding lyrical interjections. The result are taught compositions hinged at a breaking point of rhythmic grace and electronic experimentation.

Sharing stages with the likes of Maria Minerva, Light Asylum, Excepter, Kawabata Makoto (Acid Mother Temple), Gary Wilson and Psychic Twin, multiple European and US tours and an ambitious release schedule throughout 2017-2018 of six consecutive 7" vinyl/digital singles, O Paradiso is poised to introduce their adventurous new sound and performances to ever widening audiences.

Stereogum, Miles Bowe: “The jerky, abnormal percussion got the audience interest[ed], and the best moments were when they balance a certain creepiness with their sweet melodies. I’ll be keeping an eye on them.”

The Two Youths

The Two Youths was formed in 2016 by Joe Palumbo.
Stitching together delicate vocal samples, syncopated drum machinery, and vibrating bass synths with several meters of cable, The Two Youths reach out to the careers of David Bowie, Laurie Anderson, and Radiohead to orient their sound.

Weeping falsettos and tense baritones adorn the band's set, while ambiguous guitar tones dialogue with kneading synth bass sequences. Connectivity of linguistics, cult governance, and behaviorism are the forefront of the band's design.

The Two Youths quickly find their footing in the North Carolina music scene and plans to release tracks in accessible yet unconventional formats. The Two Youths are currently touring and recording.
