Join us on Friday, August 2nd from 6 – 9PM for a fully loaded evening of open artist studios, Bs3 - a collaborative installation by Alexis Javier & Troy Wandzel, the final viewing of Artist Resident Nina Farryn’s site-specific project Looks for Life in America, and the Sulfur Studios Street Fair with Yoshi’s Kitchen food truck!
On display in the Gallery: Bs3 is the third rendition of the Brainstorm series curated by artists Alexis Javier & Troy Wandzel. This version will be the final installment of the series to be located at Sulfur Studios' main gallery. Bs3 is on display from August 2nd – 10th 2019, and may be seen during Sulfur Studios’ regular business hours.
ON::VIEW Artist Residency: Looks for Life in America by Nina Farryn
Nina has spent her residency producing 4 large paintings as well as 2 limited edition t-shirts. Passersby have been able to view these in process through the front windows of the residency space. The t-shirts will be available for sale during her First Friday Opening, with proceeds benefitting Planned Parenthood Southeast Advocates & Loop It Up Savannah.
Open Artist Studios: As usual during First Fridays in Starland, the public is invited to tour our studios and meet the artists working here. People are encouraged to step into each open artist space, ask questions to learn about the artists and their processes, and purchase any work that may be for sale.
Sulfur Studios Street Fair: Located on 39th Street, between Bull Street and Desoto Avenue. The Sulfur Studios Street Fair will take place in the months of October and December during First Fridays in Starland, highlighting different vendors, food truck and artists!
